When I dropped off my clothes, they had the schedule for volunteers to sign-up to work the sale. I decided to go ahead and help. I signed up to help sort-back when the sale is done. That meant that I got to get in at 2 pm on Sunday!! My mom and I were some of the first to get to go through everything! I was very excited!
We ended up getting lots of cool things. I got Sydney a white, wooden toy chest. I’ve been looking at one at Babies R Us for quite some time that is identical to the one I got. However this one was $15 instead of $65!! We also got Sydney a few toys and ALL of her fall/winter clothes! We might check out the other sales if we want to for a few items, but if we want to be done we can be! That is such a good feeling!! Now, if I get money for the clothes that I took, it will be win-win!
Summer, a friend of mine, use to talk about consignment sales when we were living in Texas. I hadn’t had Sydney yet. So, it really didn’t excite me quite like it did her. Now, I COMPLETELY understand the excitement!! Where else can you get a whole closet full of clothes for 1/3 of the price?! Thanks, Summer, for filling me in when we were in Texas!! I now have the fever! And I don’t mind it! 🙂
On another note, we are finally heading home today. It has been great being on the road with Ryan and visiting our families, but it will be great to get back in my own bed tonight.
Now, we have to get ready for a yard sale! We only have 2 days to get everything together so we can bring it back in to Paducah for the sale in a few weeks! AH! We need to clean out closets and the garage. I just hope we’ll be able to get all of it done! It will be sooooo nice to get our place rid of all the clutter. I’m actually really excited about it. Consignment sales and yard sales…5 years ago, who would have known that these things would excite me?!
