New-to-Us Car, Nashville, and Sydney’s Dr. Appointment

equinoxThis is a picture of what our new Chevy Equinox (well, new-to-us) looks like!! We got it last weekend. Although it is used, we got it at wholesale with less than 25,000 miles!!!!!! I hope this means that I can finally breathe again!

Purchasing a vehicle was not what we originally wanted to do. We wanted time without a car payment. However, January proved to us that we needed to change our plans. The Impala was going to be too expensive to keep up as our only vehicle. It will now be Ryan’s work vehicle. If it decides it wants to act up. It can be parked until we have the money to fix it. No more spending huge amounts of money we don’t have or don’t need to spend! Whoohoo!!!!!! 🙂

It was great traveling in this vehicle to Nashville this week with Ryan. We were not worrying about breaking down on the side of the road! I have been packing the Impala with blankets, heavy coats, and water when we take trips just in case we break down. I didn’t have to do that this time. Of course, we typically travel with some emergency things that way if we’re in a wreck or something crazy happens, we’re ok. The difference this time was that I was not doing it with the fear that it just might happen! 🙂

We’ve had a really good week tagging along with Ryan in Nashville. I LOVE that we can travel with him!! We mostly chilled at the hotel. We did find time to go to the park on Thursday when it was in the upper 60s! It was a lot of fun having some time in the good outdoors! Mostly, though, we just enjoyed time with each other. It didn’t really matter where we went or what we did. We weren’t separated while he was on the road this week & we were happy.

On a different note, Sydney’s 2 year check-up went really well. She’s a little under height & weight, but the doctor said for her height, she was right on with what her weight should be. She’s developing normally…that’s always good for a mommy to hear! The only thing he saw that needed attention was an extra baby tooth. He suggested we get in to a pediatric dentist to see what he/she suggests. Since Sydney does not like anyone touching or looking at her teeth, this should be tons of fun! haha! I’ll let you know how it goes. I’m sure it will be blog worthy no matter which way it goes…good or bad.

Have a great weekend blogger friends!! 🙂

  1. I love the car! I want a small SUV at some point. I’m glad you enjoyed your week…I’m looking forward to getting away this next week! I thought of you this week as we drove through E-town on the way to a conference.
