Birthday Fun

Standard

Sydney had a BLAST Saturday…which was the goal! We started the day at Ya Ya’s Island. Sydney’s friend, Ashton, and her mom & Nana met us there. The girls (and the adults) had a great time! It is such a neat place! They have tons for little kids to do. Since we arrived early in the day, we were the only ones playing for quite a while. With little ones, that was a HUGE blessing! We played for about 2 1/2 hours. The girls were still wanting to play when we had to leave! Sydney was quite upset at us for stealing her away from all the fun! I couldn’t quite blame her because I didn’t want to leave either, but we had things that had to be done before the birthday party.

From Ya Ya’s, we went to pick up her cake. It was exactly as I had asked for. It had the Backyardigans picture on it. That’s all that mattered to Sydney! She loved her cake & that made me very happy! :o)

After picking up the cake, we headed back to my parents’ house to put Sydney down for a nap. We tried our best to keep her awake on the way home, but it didn’t work. She was O-U-T! All of that playing completely exhausted her. It was great, though. We were able to pick her up & take her in the house & put her in her bed without ever waking her up! Whoohoo!! She was able to get a 2 hour nap in! We ended up having to wake her up because her guests were arriving!

She had a great party. It was pretty simple & perfect! We had cake & ice cream. Yum! And opened presents. She definitely received way more than she should have! Thank you to everyone for your kindness & loving my little girl!!

After everyone left the party, we hung out at my parents’ house. It was a nice & relaxing evening…especially since I rolled my ankle 2 hours before guests arrived for the party! I was able to put my foot up & and rest for the evening. Plus, it allowed Sydney a chance to play with her new toys!

Thank you to all who helped & had a hand in her day! It was such a special day. Sydney is a pretty happy kid, but on that day, she smiled and laughed all day! So, thank you for helping Ryan and me make that day a special day for her! Love you all!

I will post more pictures soon. I had a hard time getting the pictures to load for some reason. I tried to post videos, but couldn’t get it to work either. More to come…
